The one who 'owns a cottage', thus property for leisure- or part-time accommodation within the Långå Fisheries Conservation Area, have the right to buy special fishing licenses at a reduced price. For the card to be valid, the property designation must be written on the card. The property owner is the person who is the legal owner (has team speed) to the property. The benefit includes spouse / cohabitant and their children living at home. For children, free fishing also applies up to the age of sixteen.
– We have discovered that people who own 'cottage'’ elsewhere misinterpreted the offer and thought that it applies to cottages also outside the fisheries conservation area. In addition, some cases of pure cheating are found, says Helge Jonsson, Chairman of the Board of Långå FVOF.
It is considered a violation of the rules and Långå FVOF then has the right to issue CONTROL FEE (LAG 1981:533). The Swedish Fisheries Inspectorate can issue an inspection fee of 2 225 kr, fishermen who break the rules within lengthy FVO. The fee is issued on the spot and must be paid within 14 days, then the matter may be submitted to the Debt Collection.
-Better yet, we have never had to issue a control fee and hope to avoid it, says Helge Jonsson. We trust every angler and think we have a reason for it even if we are dissatisfied with those who litter.
