In the latest issue of Sportfiskarnas tidning Svenskt Fiske, attention is drawn to angling for grayling in Grundsjön with a multi-page report. It is the reporter and journalist Lasse Hallberg and the photographer Svanthe Harström who went to Grundsjön's grayling places and discovered the fascination of ice fishing for this fly fishing favorite. Harren, which is Härjedalen's landscape fish, can be found in several places within the Långå fisheries conservation area and grayling fishing in Långåljusnan is one of many anglers' memorable experiences. Autumn fishing for grayling is considered particularly attractive, but to that can actually be added winter fishing as well.

Långåfiskets River Keeper, Per-Ola Persson, “may” all waters within the Långå fisheries conservation area, a basic knowledge built on since he was a child. With that knowledge and competence, he bears the quality responsibility in the board of Långå Fiskevårdsområdes Förening. In addition to knowledge and experience from all the fishing conservation area's fishing waters, Per-Ola has an academic background in biology and leading roles in Långåfisket's major projects., including the Långåljusnan project.

Per-Ola was the reportage team's guide and 'supervisor'’ both in terms of equipment and skills. Winter fishing on lakes is especially not least because it is ‘difficult to read the water’ on that ice- and snow-covered surface. Knowledge of bottom formations and current conditions is therefore of great importance.
