Rackelhan's father is dead. Kenneth Boström passed away on Monday. Swedish sport fishing has thus lost one of its most famous and esteemed key figures and cultural figures, most recently manifested as this year's Smedman Prize winner. For a few years now, he has been battling aggressive diseases that have shortened his life. Kenneth Boström, who was a resident of Helsingborg, became 75 year.

When synthetic fiber was seen as the universal fabric of the future, Kenneth Boström realized the threat to bamboo - but at the same time the possibility of combining two materials – old and new. Kenneth is the author behind the easily bound Rackelhanen, a type of fly that gives the fly fisherman the opportunity for great creativity in the take-home technique. A universal pattern that covers many different fishing situations.
