We have prepared ourselves for the arrival of Christmas, and now it's here! At the same time, we can prepare ourselves for the new fishing year beginning. For now turning the! The light returns and we leave the dark season behind us. That also know the fish, and many of us tend to start the new fishing season in between days.
A quick look back at 2016 show that fishing has largely been quite decently. Weather, wind and tides, we have no influence, but on the whole fishing has been pretty normal.
Of course, there are as many opinions on how the fishing has been that there are number of fishermen. There are many who have not managed to catch any fish and there are many who have reached the long-awaited goal of finally capturing his life's biggest fish. To date!

300 years tended fishing

To cope with the massive investments being made, we are dependent on external funding, especially in Grundsjöprojektet. Overall, this means that Fortum has brought 445 000, county government 110 000
and Härjedalen 50 000 crowns for measures that contribute to the quality of Långåfisket. Add to this all the commitment shown by owners, invaluable contributions of volunteer labor forces, external funders and sponsors and people lining up with lodging and service. And of course, the revenue from selling fishing licenses! The money goes back to those who fish by reinvested in full in fish management and service.
The explanations for that long FVO offers and appreciated for its fishing, many. Our beautiful village, nature, original species of game fish, the changing landscape- and natural environments and fish culture with centuries-old tradition of understanding and use fishing as an asset of a natural resource worth protecting. And as I said – not least, all the commitment and work that gives the angler an experience worthy of the name. Along with all anglers, we can rejoice and be grateful that we have it so!
